Bacon Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 3 – 4 slices of bacon
- 1 cup Pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook bacon stove top until crisp, SAVE the bacon fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine puree, eggs, oats and bacon fat. Gradually add flour and keep mixing until fully combined.
- On a lightly floured surface roll out the dough to the desired cookie thickness.
- Using a fun cookie cutter like a dog bone, fire hydrant or festive jingle bells , cut out molds until all dough is used up.
- Crumble the cooked bacon slices and press into the cookie shapes.
- Place cookies on the tray and bake until golden brown, this should be around 25 minutes.
- Make sure to let cool before sharing with your pup.
